Pergola vs Gazebo — Which One Fits Better in a Small Backyard?
I’ve got a medium-sized yard and can’t decide between a pergola or a gazebo. I love the open feel of pergolas, but gazebos seem better for shade and rain protection. What would you all recommend for a smaller space without making it feel cramped?

You can start open and later add retractable covers or curtains. Gazebos look great but sometimes dominate the yard. With a pergola, you can control how enclosed it feels.
