Derby Pride CIO is a registered charity that organises and runs Derby's annual LGBT+ Pride event at Markeaton Park on the second Saturday of September each year. We also run smaller fundraising events throughout the year.
We started out as an informal community run group in 2014 and succesfully organised our first Pride event in September of that year. We became a Charitable Incorporated Organisation and a registered charity in 2019.
Although our annual event has grown larger in size over the years, we continue to be run and staffed entirely by hard working and committed volunteers from the local LGBT+ community.
We receive no statutory funding and are dependent on the support of the community that we serve, together with grants and sponsorships.
