Treading the line between daring and caution
A while back I had the chance to leave my steady job and join a small tech startup that promised growth but came with zero guarantees. I spent nights thinking about it, staring at my budget, imagining what life would be like if it failed or if it succeeded. Part of me was thrilled at the thought of building something new and challenging myself, and another part was terrified of losing security and stability. I even drafted two resignation letters—one to send and one to throw away—because I couldn’t decide which future I wanted. The stress of being stuck in the middle was worse than anything else, and I realized that sometimes indecision itself is the hardest part of taking risks.
